Open Heavens 2015: Tuesday April 7, daily devotion by Pastor E. A. Adeboye - Set-up for Irreversible Blessing

Topic: Set-Up for Irreversible Blessing [Tuesday April 7, 2015]

Memorise: His mother saith unto the servants, whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. - John 2:5

Read: 1 Kings 17:10-16 (KJV)

10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.

11 And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.

12 And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.

13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.

14 For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.

15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.

16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

Bible in One Year: Zechariah 12-14, Matthew 15:32-16:12

MESSAGE:

My life is living proof of goodness of God. The testimonies of God's blessings in my life are uncountable. My journey to becoming what God has made me today has not been as easy as you may think. Each time I remember where I started from and how I started, I'm usually overwhelmed with gratitude, and it bears my imagination. I remember with nostalgic feelings how God dealt with me in the past and how He is still using me as an instrument in His hands. In 1985, when I started living at Redemption Camp with my family, there were times that I would not have N1 in my pocket. Do you know that there were times my wife and I would not be able to go to Lagos because we had no N2 to pay for toll fees' I would comfort my wife on such days by telling her that God might have restricted us from going to Lagos because and accident will occur on the road.

However, the fact was that I could not afford to pay the toll fee of only N2 both ways. I thank God because that condition has gone forever. Poverty is no longer a threat to whatever I want to do in life because God has placed me and all my children, both biological and spiritual, on the pedestal of irreversible blessings. The womb of lack has been completely shut forever and my cup of blessings is running over day by day. I pray that as you get committed to the work of God entrusted to your care, you will never know lack again in Jesus'Name.

Do you know that God can choose to divert wealth to your side? If you have given your life to Christ, this is one of your benefits for being in the commonwealth of Isreal by faith. Without any iota of doubt, believers can be blessed by the Lord greatly. God could decide to arrange the transfer of wealth that unbelievers have laid upon for years to you without much problem. Infact, if you understand the glorious agenda of wealth transfer, unbelievers could even be struggling to bless you. Sometime ago, I told all my children at the auditorium of the Redemption Camp that I did not want anyone to give me cars anymore because I had more than enough, and cars were no longer an issue for me. Before I got home on that very day, four cars were already waiting for me and two of these cars were from Muslims. When God decides to set you up for irreversible blessings, poverty will become a total stranger to you. However, you must live a life that will glory God. You must maintain a constant, unbroken fellowship with Him. Live a life that will be a blessing to the Lord if you don't want His prosperity to be withdrawn from you. Are you in the doldrums of debts and poverty? Believe God for divine set-up it will be an encounter that will position you for blessings that will cause your cut to run over.

Prayer point: Father, Please give me an explosive miracle today that will make my cup run over.

GOD'S TRUTHS BELONG TO HIS CHILDREN

GOD'S TRUTHS BELONG TO HIS CHILDREN

By Andrew Woomack Ministry(AWM)

Matthew 13:11, "He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given."

MATTHEW 13:1-13

The Greek word translated "mystery" here, means "something that could not be known by men except by divine revelation, but that, though once hidden, has now been revealed in Christ and is to be proclaimed so that all who have ears may hear it."

God's truths are hidden for His children, not from them. God has given an open invitation to everyone to receive the spiritual rebirth which entitles them to the revelation of these mysteries of the Kingdom. But as stated in 1 Corinthians 2:14, a natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God because they are spiritually discerned. Therefore, whoever rejects Jesus rejects the source of all wisdom and knowledge (Col. 2:3), thereby reserving the deep things of God for those who receive Jesus and draw on His wisdom through the Holy Spirit. This also safeguards the laws of God, upon which all the universe is founded, from being appropriated and misused by Satan's kingdom.

In context, Jesus is speaking about those who have revelation knowledge of the mysteries of God. They will receive even more revelation and will walk in the abundant life that Jesus provided (Jn. 10:10; 2 Pet. 1:3). Those who do not receive God's revelation will lose whatever truth they do have and will go farther and farther into deception. God reveals His truths to us in stages and not all at once (Isa. 28:9-10). Therefore, as we walk in the revelation of what the Lord has already shown us, He will reveal more of His truths to us.

The truths of God are mysterious only to those who do not soften their heart by seeking God with their whole heart. As Jeremiah 29:13 says, "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."

Open Heavens 2015: Monday April 6, daily devotion by Pastor E. A. Adeboye - Weapons of the Mighty

Topic: Weapons of the Mighty [Monday April 6, 2015]

Memorise:
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; -  Colossian 2:14

Read: John 3:1-5 (KJV)

1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Bible in One Year:
 Zechariah 9-11, Mathew 15:1-31

MESSAGE:

God is a specialist in using people who the world has rejected. He picks up those who have been written off, polishes them and turns them into great warriors of His kingdom. This is to let you know that it is not over with you yet. As long as you know whose report to believe, those who have written you off have made their greatest mistake. The name of Rahab, the harlot whose prostitution business was located where all eyes could see, was included in the genealogy of Jesus (
Matthew 1:5-6). Uriah’s wife, an adulteress, was also mentioned. This is to let you know that God has a purpose for each and every one of us. His purpose can only come to pass when we accept the Lordship of Jesus. The moment Jesus comes into your life, He blots out the handwriting of the past. Your past becomes past and the former sinner becomes a saint.

David as a weapon of the Almighty God went and picked five smooth stones when he was to confront Goliath. Not five regular stones but smooth ones. Anyone who will become a weapon of the Almighty cannot afford to be ordinary. God will not use ordinary Christians but smooth ones. It is interesting to note that when Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into the fiery furnace, the fire refused to burn them because they were special children (
Daniel 3:16-25). They were smooth weapons of the Almighty God. Joseph refused the lures of the wife of Potiphar because he was a smooth stone. He said he could not compromise and sin against God (Genesis 39:9). This statement landed him in prison, yet God was waiting for him there. Colossians 3:5-6 says this:

“Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:”

As a weapon of the Mighty, you should be able to control your body. Anyone who wants to operate under the anointing of the Most High God must not only love righteousness, but must hate iniquity. To deal with the Goliaths of this world, you need to become a smooth stone. If you discipline yourself enough to be a weapon of the Almighty, the enemy will always fail against you. Allow the Almighty to help you pass through fire. God is interested in you and wants to bless you. He wants to use you for His glory. If you permit Him, He will do it. He can use the fire of the Holy Spirit to burn away any dross from your life so that what remains is pure and smooth.

Prayer Point:
Father, I submit myself for purification by the fire of your Spirit; use me for your glory.

Depression is demonic

For research carried out on DEPRESSION ,

Depression is a mood disorder that causes a continuous feeling of sadness and loss of interest. It affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems. You may have trouble doing normal day-to-day activities, and depression may make you feel as if life isn't worth living

Many people has lost the battle as a result of depression either from work, marriage, spiritually e.t.c. Depression most often has physiological roots and origins. it can be cause by various chemical imbalance in the brain for example, by the absence of serotonin in our brains, which happen when we don’t get enough sunlight, the longer they Stay in the dark, the more depressed they become and stronger their addiction becomes.

We need sunlight, we need exercise, a proper diet, and vitamins; otherwise, we can easily find ourselves in a depressed state. If we in ingest too much caffeine, sugar, white bread, or alcohol or drugs, or if we fail to take in adequate B-complex vitamins, our body will show symptoms of depression.

Depression on the other hand can be demonic when people know they have a duty to do something and they don’t do it, or they are engaging in a conduct they know to be wrong but refused to stop. They feel ashamed of themselves, because there is something wrong in their lives, and they refused to deal with it, yet it continue to haunt them.

Depression can be from birth, loss of a loved one, or other grief , tragedy or failure… it often requires professional help to deal with it.

Moreover, demonic oppression can cause depression, demonic influence can cause people to be fearful and spirit of fear can cause depression.

Depression is one of the tools of the devil, he rejoices when you are depressed.
As a child of God lean on him for solution. “Cast your burden upon the Lord” for He alone can make things right.
To overcome depression, you need to believe in the word, be spirit filled, and command your day every morning with the words of God.  You must start each day with the thought of possibilities remember
“every day is good day if you pray”

Have a blessed day…....

OBJ @d Market....Obasanjo charged the villagers

OBJ..@d Market
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria Former President has urged Nigerians to repeat last Saturday’s feat at the poll during this weekend’s governorship and State Assembly elections.

Muhammadu Buhari of the APC

Speaking in his mother language (Yoruba), Obasanjo said, “Since I came back from Abuja, I have not come here to say hello to you. But, it occured to me that I can do it during this Easter period and that is why I have come. How is business, I hope you are all faring well”.

Responding to questions from newsmen on his visit to the market which has over 20,000 traders, Obasanjo said, “Since I came back, I have not really visited any market. I have come to do two things. I have come to give them Easter greetings and to find out how they are doing.

“This is my community. As a member of the community, I want to know what is going on and what is happening in the community,” he said.

On his advice to the traders ahead of the April 11 election, Obasanjo retorted, “They should do exactly what they did last Saturday,” he declared as he made into his waiting vehicle.

Modes And Scales lesson 3

MODES AND SCALES    lesson 3

Since every white key before the first-two black key is "C"

The distance between "C" to the next black Key/Note "C#" is a Semitone.

The distance between "C" to the next white Key/Note  "D" is a Tone.

Having understood this, let's go on to construct our Major scale using the Scale formation.

Major Scale on the Key of "C"

The starting  point is "C" and the Major Scale Formation is T,T,ST,T,T,T,ST.
A Tone away from "C" is D
A Tone away from "D" is E
A Semitone away from "E" is F
A Tone away from "F" is G
A Tone away from "G" is A
A Tone away from "A" is B                   A Semitone away from "B" is C

NOTE: A Semitone occur between the 3rd and 4th note, also between the 7th and 8th note.

Major Scale on the Key of "C#"

The starting  point is "C#" and the Major Scale Formation is T,T,ST,T,T,T,ST.
A Tone away from "C#" is Eb
A Tone away from "Eb" is F
A Semitone away from "F" is F#
A Tone away from "F#" is Ab
A Tone away from "Ab" is Bb
A Tone away from "Bb" is C
      A Semitone away from "C" is C#

NOTE: A Semitone occur between the 3rd and 4th note, also between the 7th and 8th note.

We will continue from here.

JESUS, TEACHER AND SAVIOR

JESUS, TEACHER AND SAVIOR

Mark 4:2, "And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,"

MARK 4:1-12

The Greek word used here for "doctrine" means "teaching" and occurs a total of 30 times in the New Testament. The four gospels refer to Jesus teaching 43 times and preaching 19 times, and six verses refer to Him preaching and teaching in the same verse. This would indicate that Jesus spent twice as much time teaching as He did preaching. Jesus' teaching is the basic building block of making disciples and a stumbling block to the religious.

Why is it that a person who is seeking so hard to please God can be rejected, while a person who has not sought God at all can come into a righteous relationship with Him? This is an important question and its answer is one of the most profound doctrines in scripture. The answer is faith and its object.

The Jews were zealous for the things of God, but their faith was in themselves. They were trusting that they could earn God's favor by their acts of righteousness. On the other hand, the Gentiles had no holiness to trust in. So, when they heard the Gospel message that Jesus paid our debt for us, they readily accepted His "gift" of salvation, while the religious Jews could not abandon their trust in themselves for salvation.

The same problem exists today. Millions of church people are trying to live holy lives, but they do not have a true faith in Jesus as their Savior. If they were to stand before God and He was to ask them what they had done to deserve salvation, they would immediately start recounting all their acts of holiness such as church attendance, giving receipts, etc. Regardless of how good our actions are compared to others, they always come short of the perfect standard of God. The only response to this kind of question that would grant us entrance to heaven is to say, "my only claim to salvation is faith in Jesus as my Savior." Let Him be the object of your faith today. He is all you need.

POLICE N20 AND LASMA N1000 BRIBERY ROUTINE

It has been observed that long hour traffic has being a serious issue menacing the people living in the area of ketu, mile 12 and Ikorodu. Even the so call BRT is not left out in this traffic.
People have to wake up as early as 4:00a.m in the morning to be able to meet up with appointment or work.

Several complains had been made all  to no avail, even with the dualized road network nothing has change.

After several interview by pagemeupdate staff we gathered that the problems comes from the following notable source:

....The Police....
....LASMA...
.....Buses....
.....Marketers...
......Area bus/agbero....

From our recent interview and observation

We observed that Police has being neglecting their major functions chasing after 20naira from the bus drivers.

So they have lost their pride as office of the law. The unlawful money collected from the driver gives them the opportunity to park and load passengers anywhere causing serious and long traffic.

So also LASMA   neglecting the function of controling traffic but sitting around or looking out for means to extort money or

arrest driver for not using seat belt inside traffic...all they are after is the money to collect from the innocent Nigerians.

Buses stops anywhere to load neglecting the bus stop to pick their passengers resulting to serious traffic.

sellers have now  turn the service lane of the  express to

the selling point which non of these officer ever made arrest due to the bribe collection from them all.

Our government should look into sanitizing all the law officers and clear the road of all selling point.

Traffic warden should ensure free movement

Buses should use their bus stop and the so called "AREABOYS/AGBERO" should be cleared off the road...

Are you living around Ikorodu??????¿

The PDP through its agent at the National Collation Centre in Abuja on Wednesday when the final result was declared, had refused to sign the result sheet despite its candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan, having earlier conceded defeat.

The agent of the PDP, Bello Fadile, who was in attendance when parties were being called upon to sign the result sheet, told journalists shortly after the result was declared that the party was not satisfied with the outcome of the election and had decided to challenge it at the election tribunal.

“Whether I sign it (the result sheet) or I don’t sign it, does not make any difference. It doesn’t invalidate the resultý. When we go to court, then we can challenge the result,” Fadile said.

When asked to confirm if the PDP will challenge the result at the presidential election petition tribunal, Fadile added, “Sure! The party petitioned. Don’t forget. So the party will follow through the petition. There are rules for this. The law is there.

“The result was declared on the 1st of April, I think. We will follow the due process. Like the president (Jonathan) said, ‘if you have any grievances, follow due process and the due process in this instance is to go to the tribunal.”

Meanwhile, state governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday promised to return to their states and work hard to ensure that the party maintains its lead across the country during the April 11 governorship and state houses of assembly elections.

The Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Chief Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State, said this while briefing State House correspondents at the end of a meeting the governors had with President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Akpabio said they visited the President to show solidarity with him and promise him that they would remain undaunted by the fate that befell the party during the last presidential election.

He said the governors also commended Jonathan for his statesmanship after the result of the election was released.

He said, “We, as governors, came to assure him (the President) that we are going back as field commanders to hold our states and that come April 11, the PDP will still maintain its lead across Nigeria.

“Everybody knows that the only party that is national in nature and is on ground is the PDP. So we are not going to be undaunted by what has happened.

“The party has already indicated that it will explore all legal means in order to ensure redress. So, we are also proud of the party and we want to congratulate all our voters and all PDP faithful across Nigeria for their peaceful disposition.

“This is the only party that has not carried stick to break somebody’s windscreen after election. Because of the sacrificial stand of the President, our faithfuls are not on the streets, breaking APC windscreens and vehicles.

“If it were to be the other way round, you know what would have happened today. This is where Nigerians must judge: we want peace, stability and unity.”

Akpabio said the governors were impressed because Jonathan did what no African leader had ever done.

He said it was commendable that despite the flawed nature of the election, the President said he remained committed to ensuring peace and stability of the country

President Jonathan official statement after the announcement of the results of presidential election

President Jonathan official statement after the announcement of the results of presidential election

Fellow Nigerians,

I thank you all for turning out en-masse for the March 28 General Elections.

I promised the country free and fair elections. I have kept my word. I have also expanded the space for Nigerians to participate in the democratic process. That is one legacy I will like to see endure.

Although some people have expressed mixed feelings about the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), I urge those who may feel aggrieved to follow due process based on our constitution and our electoral laws, in seeking redress.

As I have always affirmed, nobody’s ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian. The unity, stability and progress of our dear country is more important than anything else.

I congratulate all Nigerians for successfully going through the process of the March 28th General Elections with the commendable enthusiasm and commitment that was demonstrated nationwide.

I also commend the Security Services for their role in ensuring that the elections were mostly peaceful and violence-free.

To my colleagues in the PDP, I thank you for your support. Today, the PDP should be celebrating rather than mourning. We have established a legacy of democratic freedom, transparency, economic growth and free and fair elections.

For the past 16 years, we have steered the country away from ethnic and regional politics. We created a Pan-Nigerian political party and brought home to our people the realities of economic development and social transformation.

Through patriotism and diligence, we have built the biggest and most patriotic party in Nigerian history. We must stand together as a party and look to the future with renewed optimism.

I thank all Nigerians once again for the great opportunity I was given to lead this country and assure you that I will continue to do my best at the helm of national affairs until the end of my tenure.

I have conveyed my personal best wishes to General Muhammadu Buhari.

May God Almighty continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I thank you all.

    Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR
    President,
    Federal Republic of Nigeria
