Vice President of United State decleared intention of US to Partner with Nigeria" on phone conversation with Gen. Buhari

The US government declared their willingness to support the  President-elect, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari,

According to a statement by the US Vice President at the White House on Thursday, in a phone conversation with  Buhari to congratulate him on his victory in the March 28 election on Wednesday.

In the discussion United States of America made a concrete assurance of their readiness to join hands with Nigeria on common issues involving economic and security issues.

The US Vice President also appreciates Buhari’s effort in helping to ensure  that the election was peacefully conducted and also implored him to continue in that line of peaceful transition of power

It added that Biden affirmed that the “United States of America stands ready to expand collaboration with Nigeria on issues of common concern, including economic and security matters.”

In addition, US “The Vice President expressed the United States’ support for Nigeria’s efforts to defeat Boko Haram, recover all that has been taken by the group, and protect civilian populations. And also the readiness of the United States to partner with Nigeria to strengthen its economy.”
