Mrs Kudirat Adeboye a 62-year-old female oil mogul was rescue by Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS. She was reportedly kiddniped in the evening “7pm, on a trip to inspect her new filling station that is under construction.

The kiddnappers threatening to kill her if their demand for 50 million is not met, giving them time frame of one week.

Kayode Aderanti, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, On receiving the news of her kidnap, reportedly directed SARS, Abba Kyari, the Commander, to go on the trail of the kidnappers and ensure the release of the woman.

The kidnappers were deceived to a place around Lekki to pick the ransom, while SARS operatives condoned off the vicinity.

Niyi Omosola a member of the syndicate, a native of Ondo State At the appointed time as reportedly appeared to pick the money, only to be accosted by the operatives. He was said to have opened fire on sighting the policemen, but was overpowered.

Our source told us that the suspect took the operatives to a bush around Epe, where the 62-year-old victim was held hostage and subsequently rescued.

Kenneth Nwosu, Spokesman for the command, DPS, confirmed the rescue, disclosing that the kidnap suspect later died from the gun injury he sustained during the cross fire, and that one double-barrelled pistol, two expended and six cartridges were recovered from the suspect.


The police are still making effort to apprehend fleeing members of the gang.
