Father of TWO missing Chibok girls talks about life without his daughters.
Reverend Enoch Mark says the last 1 year has been like million years for him and his wife since their daughters Monica and Sarah, were kidnapped by Boko Haram on April 14th 2014.
Since the kidnapping, We are not able to sleep, my wife developed blood pressure, we have developed sleppless night, we have been unable to eat properly, we even set aside days for prayer and fasting .
That day, I remember hearing gunshots, and buildings in Chibok were shaking so I went to the bush and asked my wife and small children to continue walking but I watched what was going and saw how they were setting fire on some buildings until the morning.
I took my "okada" after finding my way to the house and went to the school, no pupils were there and I was told that they have taken our daughters.
I saw that the girls had dropped their head scarves and dropped shoes along the way. So I traced them and got to a village which the kidnappers had set fire to and passed through it.
I went into the bush to keep on looking and I met Sarah Lawan and a daughter of my watchman. I took them on my "OKADA" to the house.
They had jumped out of the big bus carrying them and they were filled with dust. This girls gave me the information that they were kidnapped.
I later heard that my daughter was stoned to death soon after being kidnapped and I was told that my daughter had been asked to receive the Prophet Muhammad in which she refused and a hole was dugged and she was buried leaving her head outside and stoned her to death.
A government representative, who was negotiating with Boko Haram 3 weeks ago, informed me that my daughters' names were among the names of the girls they are expecting to be released and this shows they are still alive.
When I remember the future of my daughters, it makes me cry because I don't know how we will end up.
